Cachen xD

Just for you to know...

it goes a little like this...

Brandi Carlile, "The Story"

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true... I was made for you

I climbed across the mountain tops
Swam all across the ocean blue
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
But baby I broke them all for you
Oh because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do and I was made for you

You see the smile that's on my mouth
It's hiding the words that don't come out
And all of my friends who think that I'm blessed
They don't know my head is a mess
No, they don't know who I really am
And they don't know what I've been through like you do
And I was made for you.

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true...I was made for you

Ohh yea it's true... that I was made for you.

~The song of my soul~

... Well, not exactly. It's not THE song, but I won't let this opportunity go by without mentioning this masterly song.

I just can't help to love it - It ressembles to "Open your eyes" by Snow Patrol, and these songs's styles will stick with me for days and days to come, just as they did the first time I listened to them.

Amazingly mixing the story-telling-like rhythm of the verses with the strong pulsations of the chorus. The lyrics have a variety of lectures, and I love that, all the complexity, all the thinking that needs to be done to fully understand the songs... I drool by just thinking about it.

So, here you go. Enjoy.

The Killers,
"Read My Mind"

On the corner of main street
Just tryin' to keep it in line
You say you wanna move on and
You say I'm falling behind

Can you read my mind?
Can you read my mind?

I never really gave up on
Breakin' out of this two-star town
I got the green light
I got a little fight
I'm gonna turn this thing around

Can you read my mind?
Can you read my mind?

The good old days, the honest man;
The restless heart, the Promised Land
A subtle kiss that no one sees;
A broken wrist and a big trapeze

Oh well I don't mind, if you don't mind
'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine
Before you go, can you read my mind?

It’s funny how you just break down
Waitin' on some sign
I pull up to the front of your driveway
With magic soakin' my spine

Can you read my mind?
Can you read my mind?

The teenage queen, the loaded gun;
The drop dead dream, the Chosen One
A southern drawl, a world unseen;
A city wall and a trampoline

Oh well I don't mind, if you don't mind
'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine
Before you jump
Tell me what you find when you read my mind

Slippin’ in my faith until I fall
You never returned that call
Woman, open the door, don't let it sting
I wanna breathe that fire again

She said I don't mind, if you don't mind
'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine

Put your back on me
Put your back on me
Put your back on me

The stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun
When you read my mind

Speak your mind.

[Assignment] First (sort of) Post

Hello. My name is Stephanie, but in my new life ("new" meaning another "realm"... kind of), everyone calls me Hana (there is an explanation for that name in a few posts back). You can call me that too if you want to - it's easier for me to respond to that name nowadays. I'm nineteen (19) years old, I'm originally from Punta Arenas (Chile), but I’m currently living in Santiago (Chile) and studying Film and TV-making on Universidad de Chile.
I don’t expect people to like my blog, because I don’t expect people to like me. I’m a really unique person, and so are my thoughts and feelings. I don’t expect people to understand me (and / or them) either. There are another blogs that are meant to be understood, to be educative, maybe even friendly: Mine isn't like that. Like everybody else. It is as am I (not like anybody else)... So if you are searching for those qualities, this is the wrong place for you.

But, if you do like me, well... then I guess you (may) already know me, and so, you know I don't have any problems with that.

Enjoy... Sort of.
